FERRARI FEEDS SUMMER DRESSAGE LEAGUE 2019

FERRARI FEEDS 2019 LEAGUE DRAWS TO A CLOSE The 28th August saw the conclusion to the 2019 Ferrari Feeds Dressage League at Burgie.  We had been lucky with the weather until that point…….huge admiration to the horses and riders who battled on through the monsoon to ride their final league classes of the year!

The Intro and Prelim leagues were once again the closest at the top throughout the season.  Burgie based Amy Andrew and Flick rode a high scoring test of 69.3% to secure her 1st place in the class and overall league winner, just pipping Seonaid Arnott and Darach of Balvonie at the post into a close second with Lucy Evans and Figgy taking third.

In the Prelim, another of our young riders, Summer Bayliss and All That Jazz, who were our runners up last year, improved their position by taking the top spot with Liz Bell and Hillview Sally as runners up and Tracey Strachan and Pavita in third.

Katherine Gosling and Val held their lead in the Novice league to take the top spot with Sheena Dean securing 2nd position and our league sponsor, Aileen Ferrari on Puddle taking third.  Not content with one win, Katherine also rode on to take the Elementary win as well.

The aim of the league is to provide a welcoming and stress free atmosphere to take part in and enjoy dressage and perhaps even try levels/tests that you wouldn’t normally feel comfortable doing so at other venues.  Hopefully this has been achieved and massive thanks has to go to all the competitors who have come along and supported the event.  A huge thanks also to all the helpers and judges who have made the event possible…Wilma Halkett, Viv Graham, Shona Grant Mackintosh, Allison Fellowes, Sammy Taylor, Naomi Ward, Karen White, Heather Andrews, Robbie Piper and Jane Clark.

I can’t finish by not saying a massive thank you also to our sponsors, Ferrari Feeds, who provided generous prizes for the league winners and have supported us throughout the season, as well as many before.  If you haven’t been along before, please do visit them at their store in Forres where you’ll find everything for yourself and your horse, including an extensive range of horse feeds and supplements.
